'Wanted for daylight robbery!' Viewers of The Chase are FURIOUS after contestants piggyback on clever teammate's efforts to win thousands on tea-time quiz show

Viewers were left fuming after three contestants on ITV's The Chase failed to pull their weight, leaving it to one heroic quizzer to bring home the bacon.
Brain-box Darragh managed to pull in an impressive £9,000 in the notoriously tricky general knowledge show.
The programme tests amateur quizzers against formidable experts such as the Beast, the Governess and the Dark Destroyer.

Viewers created a Twitter storm as they raged as the injustice of the show. Darragh's top efforts were wasted when two of his teammates lost the gang £3,000 in an effort to make their own route to the final easier. So when Darragh got the team off to a flying start, they were sure to capitalise and take home a jackpot.
Not quite.
Following on from Darragh was Michael, who opted to accept a lower £300 offer in order to get closer to 'home' - allowing him a share of the overall kitty.
It got worse when Carol opted to accept a minus £1,000 offer, meaning the overall kitty was reduced - undermining Darragh's efforts.
In an even more outrageous move, Georgia then accepted an offer of minus £2,000 - in what Twitter users called a cowardly move towards her own safety.
Meaning after Darragh's imperious performance, his teammates then threw away £3,000 to save their own skin.
Viewers at home stormed to Twitter to voice their disapproval.

One called for police intervention dubbing the other contestants thieves - Darragh should walk off son of MOTD host George Lineker said
Josh demanded viewers set up a GoFundMe page to compensate the quizzer for his efforts
The backlash has even prompted generous Darragh to take to Twitter in defence of his teammates.
He said: 'Ease off my teammates. It's a lot easier on the couch.'
He then added: 'Thanks for all the support but I would appreciate it if people eased off my teammates. Its hard in front of the cameras.'
