These pictures show how a former animal tamer is keeping two bears at his own house in after the animals were ditched by a Russian circus.
Pavel Kurya keeps the muzzled animals in cages at his dacha - a country house - in the Kalachyovsky District of Volgograd Oblast, Russia.
The bears, believed to be called Egor and Heaven, once performed with a circus before the company downsized in 2014.
Kurya took the giant mammals in and has looked after them at his home ever since.
It is thought they were not released into the wild amid fears they would not have been able to survive alone having lived their lives in captivity.
Pictures show one of the muzzled bears cooling off in a water trough at the dacha and another taking a seat on a specially made chair. Others show Kurya petting and feeding the animals in their cages.
