A teenage boy was forced to tell a series of cringeworthy lies after accidentally calling his father a 'c***' in a text.
Craig Robertson was shocked when he received the crude message from his 13-year-old son Jack while at a christening.
Just one minute after the original text, Jack sent a frantic apology along with a string of other contrite messages.
The youngster first claimed the text was meant for a friend before adding that he didn't even know what the word meant.

Craig Robertson was shocked when he received the crude message from his 13-year-old son Jack while at a christening
But Craig, 37, was unconvinced and decided to let him sweat over the texting faux-pas by waiting four hours before replying.
The engineer later revealed that he ordered his son to spend the weekend cleaning the house as punishment.
Craig, from Kenton, in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, said: 'I was sat in a christening when I got the text. I was trying really hard not to laugh.
'I was angry because I thought I brought him up better than that. I didn't think he should be using words like that at 13 but I remember when I was his age it was pretty cool to swear back then.
'I didn't reply for a while because I thought I would let me stew. I replied about three or four hours after.
'He thought he was texting a friend of his and then claimed he didn't know what it meant - I don't believe him.
'He was pretty upset and thought he was going to get a big telling off; instead he had a busy weekend.'
Jack's initial message simply read 'c***' followed by a text about an Xbox game.
The father-of-two sent his son a series of memes mocking his fibs, before letting him know that punishment for his misdemeanors were coming
The following messages read: 'Sorry was meant to send that to my friend and ask him what that meant.
'But now I know and I'm sorry for texting you it. I'm never gonna [sic] repeat it xx.
'I really am sorry dad. I didn't know what it meant x.
'I can understand that you are probably foaming angry with me right now but I honestly didn't know what the word meant and I didn't realise it was the wrong person I text [sic] I really am sorry dad.'
Craig, who sees Jack every weekend, eventually replied four hours later with two hilarious memes before texting Jack back.
Craig said that Jack had previously sworn at him, but was let off with a caution
His text read: 'You've crossed a line Jack and will be dealt with accordingly.
'Don't even think about not coming over here on Friday because you will just be delaying the inevitable.
'You swore at me a few weeks ago and I said that one was for free. You're going to pay for this big time.'
Father-of-two Craig, who is separated from Jack's mother, confiscated all his electronic devices and ordered him to clean the house.
Craig said that Jack had previously sworn at him, but was let off with a caution which was why he wasn't given a second chance.
Craig said: 'He swore at me just before Christmas, he whispered "f*** you" and I caught him. He said he was sorry so I let him off with a warning that time.
'I said "that one's for free but if it happens again I'm going to wash your mouth out".
'I've spoken to him and he was sorry and sounded like he had been crying. I wasn't happy with him. I told him, let this be a lesson learnt.
'I hope he doesn't do again. If he ever wants to see 14 then I would suggest he holds his tongue and watches who he texts.'
Jack's mother Karen Foster, 37, from Gateshead, in Tyne and Wear, said: 'I wasn't angry with him, I just thought it was quite funny.
'He tried to talk his way out of it when he carried on messaging his dad but he was just digging his hole deeper - he was panicking.
'He's never done anything like this with me, I don't think he's brave enough.'
