Stabbing victim takes refuge in BBC Broadcasting House after he is attacked in the street outside Radio 2 studios as armed police swarm the road to find knifeman

Armed police stormed a street next to the BBC's Broadcasting House after a man was stabbed outside the Radio 2 studios.
The 21-year-old suffered stab wounds to his hand after the attack at Wogan House, which is part of Broadcasting House, in central London, this evening.
He was taken to hospital but his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
It has been reported that the victim was stabbed outside the studio and then attempted to flee inside the building.
Witnesses say the assailant was then caught by Wogan House security staff but he managed to escape before police arrived.

A man wearing jeans and a beanie hat was seen escorted by police officers at the scene with a white shirt wrapped around his bleeding hand.
Blood was seen splattered on the pavement outside the studio as Metropolitan Police detectives set up a cordon.
The Metropolitan Police are now investigating but no arrests have been made.
