Thirteen weeks to Easter... but eggs are already on the shelves

Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the shops ... here is a London supermarket celebrating Easter three months early.
There may be 90 choc-shopping days to go until Easter Sunday but that has not stopped the Holborn branch of Tesco Express putting out chocolate eggs.
It is, one might have thought, an odd decision, given that most people are still suffering from Christmas overindulgence and their thoughts are more likely to be of diets than of gorging themselves on that most sickly sweet of confections, Cadbury's Creme Egg.
Still, this is a country where some retailers choose to open their Christmas departments in August, so perhaps beginning the Easter marketing rush 13 weeks early is just part of a bigger madness.
A Tesco spokesman said: "It is only a small selection of Easter stock."
