Husband, 60, bites his wife in the FACE after she takes his chips after he told her not to

  • George Beaver, from Pennsylvania, is charged with assault and harassment
  • He is accused of sinking his teeth into wife's left cheek, causing it to bleed
  • Wife Michelle says he told her to 'leave his chips alone', but she refused  

A husband has been arrested after allegedly biting his wife in the face following a row over his potato chips.

George Beaver, 60, from Union Township in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, is accused of sinking his teeth into wife Michelle's left cheek and tearing off a piece of her skin. 

He has been charged with assault and harassment following the incident, which took place last Tuesday.

It followed a row over his Utz Sour Cream and Onion potato chips

His wife Michelle told police that they had been watching television at home when she picked up a bag of Utz Sour Cream and Onion potato chips, the Republican Herald reported.

She says Beaver told her to 'leave the chips alone', but she refused to put them down.

At this point, her husband allegedly grabbed her face with two hands and bit her cheek, causing it to bleed.

Police issued a warrant for Beaver after he fled the scene, but he was later arrested. 

He is believed to still be in custody at Schuylkill County Jail, after failing to post bail.  

Beaver has been charged with assault and harassment following the incident and was taken to Schuylkill County Jail (pictured)
