CCTV captures brave Good Samaritan jumping onto train tracks to save an eight-year-old boy who'd fallen on them

This is the moment a brave commuter selflessly jumped onto live train tracks to save the life of a young boy - while others stood by watching.
The shocking incident happened in the central Russian city of Yekaterinburg and was captured on CCTV cameras.
Footage shows the moment the unidentified eight-year-old fell onto the tracks on his way back from football practice.

The boy can be seen walking along the tracks before slipping off the platform and fracturing his thigh. Despite trying to stand and climb up himself
He can be seen wandering around the platform while playing a video game on his mobile phone. At one point he wanders too close to the side and distracted, he falls onto the tracks.
He tries to get up but falls.
The rushing commuters take a few moments to check whether a train is oncoming before one selflessly jumps down and scoops the boy up.
After a few moments one hero commuter checks there aren't any trains arriving and jumps on to the platform picking up the boy and carrying him to safety
He picks him up and passes him up to other passengers on the platform.
Just minutes later a train pulls in the station.
Police say the boy was hospitalised with a thigh joint fracture. It is not known who the rescuer was.
The boy's father, identified only as Sergey, said: 'He does not understand how he fell. He was walking, wanted to call his mother, got distracted by the phone and fell.
'Some young men saved him and ran away. The kid is in state of shock. I would like to find the man to say thanks to him.'
