A snowboarder was lucky to escape uninjured after getting caught up in an avalanche while riding off-piste in Switzerland.
Terrifying footage shows the unnamed snowboarder hurtling down the mountainside in Nendaz after being hit by the wall of snow.
The man tumbles down the mountain for nearly 30 seconds before incredibly managing to get back up and continuing to ride down.

At the start of the footage, filmed on his helmet camera, the snowboarder is initially seen enjoying himself as he rides down the mountain.
He then looks behind him as the avalanche begins, before being suddenly hit by the powder.

It comes after four snowboarders were killed in the French Alps after being engulfed by an avalanche on Monday.
The victims, all reportedly French, were walking in an off-piste area of the resort of Tignes when they were hit by a massive wall of snow.
