- A small camera clipped to an eagle shows the fearsome predator in full flight
- The bird of prey locks on to a fleeing white hare and races down towards earth
- The rapid hare desperately tries to run but is caught by the eagle and devoured
This is the dramatic moment a golden eagle swoops down towards a hare fleeing for its life before eventually falling prey to the fearsome predator.
The breathtaking footage, captured via a small camera clipped to the bird, shows the speed and agility the eagle has as it soars through the sky and races down towards earth to snare its quarry.
The large bird of prey, which can fly at an astonishing 150mph, was fitted with an Eaglecam, and sent out to hunt in the Highlands in Scotland.

'It's all about our camera mount, which is incredible technology,' says FieldsportsChannel.tv presenter Charlie Jacoby.
'As a result, the film had 150,000 views in its first few hours on Facebook and YouTube, and we expect it will be watched by millions around the world.'
The clip will now appear in an upcoming film for National Geographic TV.

Such are the eagle's skills as a predator they are now being trialed by law enforcement agencies as an innovative way of bringing down rogue drones.
French police are training the winged predators to take down drones and associate them with mealtimes. The Pavlovian tactic will see the eagles fed a meaty treat once they've brought down a multi-rotor copter.
The growing threat of domestic terrorist attacks using drones has meant security forces have had to adapt and use unconventional methods to combat possible incidents.
