A 12-year-old boy who was beaten into a coma in a school hallway five days ago has been pictured awake and resting at home.
Henry Sembdner suffered serious head injuries when he was slammed to the ground allegedly by another student at Kenyon Woods Middle School in South Elgin, Illinois on Friday.
The seventh grader, who was left with multiple face fractures and bleeding in the brain, was placed in an induced coma in hospital.

The seventh grader woke on Sunday and continued to show signs of improvement each day until doctors allowed him to return home on Tuesday with his parents and sisters

'You heard it here first ... Henry is Home!', his mother Karen Sembdner tweeted on Tuesday night.
'We are happy to be home but this is just a baby step on the road to recovery.'
He is scheduled to meet with 10 different doctors in the coming days as he recovers from the horrific injuries.

Students at Henry's school have worn Cubs gear in support of him since the attack.
Rizzo sent another message wishing Henry well after the family said he was out of the hospital.
Authorities said the attack occurred after Henry bumped into another student in the hallway between classes.
Police haven't determined if the other boy should face criminal charges.
