A riot of 76 inmates at a NSW jail broke out following a fight between two prisoners.
Half of Bathurst Prison has been in lockdown on Tuesday as staff used gas to contain the 90-minute incident in the accommodation unit of the complex, 200km northwest of Sydney.
At least one officer was injured at the prison, the prison officers' union told ABC.

The inmates have since returned to their cells.
The riot was reportedly sparked by a fight between two inmates, which escalated when staff tried to calm the situation.
