A young man died after he was struck by a tractor-trailer and was dragged for about block after getting caught under the truck's rear tires, officials said.
Moshe Yehuda Weiner, 21, was walking towards his parked van in Williamsburg, Brooklyn on Thursday around 11.15am when the truck slammed into him, police said.
The truck, which was reportedly hauling cement, then dragged Weiner one block before shocked witnesses stopped him, according to the New York Daily News.

It is believed that the married young man fell under the truck's rear tires after his coat was caught by the passing truck on the narrow road, according to witnesses.
Weiner, who was critically injured in the crash, was transported to Bellevue Hospital by members of the Shomrim volunteer ambulance corps and later died.
One witness told the New York Daily News that the driver was 'so upset' after the collision.
'The driver was traumatized,' 50-year-old Susan Stover said. 'The guy was really upset, he was shook up.'

She added: 'He said he put on his brakes and the next thing you know he looked in his rear view mirror and saw the guy was under his tire.'

Loved ones of Weiner described him as a good guy and said he worked for a plumbing supply store and had been married for two years.
His father is currently traveling from China to be with family in New York, friends told the New York Daily News.
