A desperate family have asked for help in finding an eight-year-old schoolboy who went missing from his home.
Miguel Dipalma, from Pinfold Street, Preston, Lancashire, was last seen playing outside the family home at around 7pm by his older brother.
The youngster is described as white, about 4ft and of stocky build, and was last seen in his school uniform of grey trousers and a white T-shirt. He was also wearing blue Italy football team trainers.
Chief Inspector James Lee said: "I am growing increasingly concerned for Miguel due to his young age and the fact that he has been missing since about 7pm last night.
"This is out of character as Miguel has not been missing before and I urge members of the public to check their gardens and sheds in case he has fallen asleep in the night."
Police said there had been no family argument and Miguel had no reason to run away. Anyone with any information is asked to contact police in Preston on 01772 203 203.
