CCTV footage has emerged of the moment a brazen thief stole a man's beloved Ned Kelly sculpture from the front yard of his property.
Owner Ryan Burnin, from Perth in Western Australia, has taken to social media to make an appeal in an effort to have the Australian icon statue returned to him.
Sitting next to a set of stairs, the figure comes complete with a built-in lighter, which was used as an outdoor ashtray.
But on Friday morning, Mr Burnin discovered someone had entered his property and removed his sentimental statue overnight.

The Perth man said the handmade Ned Kelly sculpture was given to him as a gift from a friend. It has a built-in lighter, which was used as an outdoor ashtray
After reviewing surveillance footage, he saw a man who was wearing a hooded jumper and pants walking over to the sculpture near the patio.
And much to his surprise, the suspect plucked the statue out of the ground before fleeing with the metal piece in his arm.
The offender appeared to have struggled with lifting the sculpture, believed to be secured to the dirt, before he managed to run away with it.
Mr Burnin said the handmade sculpture was given to him by a friend as a gift.
