Four men were being questioned on suspicion of terror offences after a raid in West Yorkshire.
Officers from the Metropolitan Police's anti-terrorist team arrested the men in an operation at a residential address in Bradford at 11pm on Friday.
West Yorkshire Police assisted in the raid, which was reported to have taken place at the University of Bradford halls of residence.
A Scotland Yard spokeswoman said: "Three men - two men aged 18 and one aged 19 - were arrested on suspicion of the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism under the Terrorism Act 2000.
"They are in custody at central London police stations.
"A fourth man aged 19 was arrested later nearby in the Bradford area and is in custody in West Yorkshire.
"He is also being questioned on suspicion of the same offences."
She added that the arrests were in connection with an investigation separate to the July terror bombings last July.
