Three dead cows have washed up on a beach on the east coast of New Zealand in bizarre circumstances.
The carcasses were found on St Clair Beach in Dunedin on Saturday, reported Stuff.co.nz.
Locals reportedly saw up to three carcasses lying beached on the shoreline.

Police have confirmed that the body of one cow was found on the beach.
One of the bodies was removed by the Dunedin City Council before police arrived at the beach.
Senior Sergeant Brian Benn said police were conducting further inquiries to find out where the cow carcasses had come from and how they came to be on the beach.
The incident comes as more than 500 cows were stolen from a farm in Ashburton only days beforehand.
