Confident Euan takes centre stage

His confident smile shows he is perfectly at home in the world of showbusiness. And with highlighted hair and wispy goatee, he could easily be one of the young stars of the night.

But Euan Blair was at the British Academy Children's Film and Television Awards simply to present a prize. His upbringing in Downing Street has equipped him remarkably well for life in the spotlight. He chatted with celebrities and posed happily for photographers at the ceremony in London.

The event, hosted by Emma Forbes, also featured model Nell McAndrew and veteran children's TV presenter Brian Cant.

The Prime Minister's 21-year-old son has been enjoying a higher public profile recently. His appearance at the awards on Sunday night follows controversy about his recent work experience in Paris.

It emerged the arrangement was bankrolled by Bernard Arnault, France's richest man. He is estimated to have a fortune of £6.6billion and has been a guest at Chequers, the Premier's country residence.

Mr Arnault owns the Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy chain where Euan spent his two-month internship. The job came along with a flat, chauffeur-driven Mercedes and bodyguard.

During his trip, Euan also made a visit to porn king Larry Flynt's Hustler Club in the city accompanied by two bodyguards.

Last month, Euan attended a Christian Dior fashion show with Stephanie Watine-Arnault, niece of Mr Arnault, and Constance Breton, the socialite daughter of French finance minister Thierry Breton.

And earlier this year, he celebrated with Liverpool footballers after the victory that wrecked Chelsea's dream of a treble.
