Sanders: 'Do not moan to me about Hillary Clinton's problems'
- Coming off another win last night in West Virginia, Sen. Bernie Sanders pushed back on the idea that he's had an easier walk than Hillary Clinton
- Sanders, sitting down with NBC's Andrea Mitchell, told the journalist he's had to take on 'the entire Democratic establishment'
- Mitchell suggested that Clinton has had to face attacks on two fronts - from Sanders and the presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump
Bernie Sanders does not think Hillary Clinton has had it harder than him – going up against both the Vermont senator and the GOP's presumptive nominee Donald Trump – nor does he care.
Presented with the argument today, that he out-polls Clinton because he's not yet faced the Republican attack machine, he shut NBC's Andrea Mitchell down.
'Oh really? Andrea, in every state that we have won, in 19 states, we have had to take on the entire Democratic establishment,' Sanders replied. 'We have had to take on senators and governors and members of Congress, so please do not moan to me about Hillary Clinton's problems'.

Sanders celebrated yet another primary win last night, corralling the majority of Democratic voters in West Virginia into his corner, but even with this 19th victory the math hasn't changed.
Despite this hard reality, last night Sanders stumped in Salem, Oregon, and pledged to press on.
Today he repeated this mission.
'I know it's a steep climb,' he said on MSNBC. 'We still have the possibility of coming in with the majority of pledged delegates.'
However, by adding her superdelegate count to her already substantial pledged delegate tally, the former secretary of state now has 94 percent of the delegates she needs to clinch the Democratic nomination, according to the Associated Press.
The Sanders campaign is hoping that if he continues to win primaries the superdelegates, Democratic party faithful who also get to cast a vote, will hold off.
The campaign has again and again pointed to the general election match-up numbers, as a way to grab up some of that superdelegate support, but a majority of the Democrats who have committed have stayed with Clinton.
Sanders' campaign manager Jeff Weaver made that case again today in an email to supporters, saying if the Democrats nominated Clinton it would be a 'disaster.'
Weaver pointed to three early polls out of three swing states – Pennsylvania, Ohio and Florida – that showed Trump to be competitive.
'Because we must do everything we can to defeat Trump in November, our mission is to win as many pledged delegates as we can between now and June 14,' Weaver said.
'Then we're going to have a contested convention where the Democratic Party must decide if they want the candidate with the momentum who is best positioned to beat Trump, or if they are willing to roll the dice and court disaster simply to protect the status quo for the political and financial establishment of this country.'
Back at MSNBC, Mitchell asked Sanders if he was giving Trump weapons to use against Clinton.
Sanders had a good laugh.
'If Donald Trump wants to take my ideas and fight for a single-payer national health care program,' Sanders said. 'Or wants to fight to make sure that the wealthiest people in this country, like Donald Trump, start paying their fair share of taxes, wants to make sure we have paid family leave, wants to raise the minimum wage of 15 bucks an hour, rebuild our crumbling infrastructure, if that is what Donald Trump is supporting, I think that's a good thing and I hope Hillary Clinton does that as well.'
