Lottery thug in Asbo breach probe
Last updated at 12:48 19 July 2005
Police are today investigating allegations that a former dustman who won a £9.7million National Lottery jackpot three years ago breached the terms of an Anti-social Behaviour Order (Asbo).
Magistrates handed the order to Michael Carroll, 22, in late June after the lottery winner admitted causing more than £3,000-worth of damage by catapulting ball-bearings through the windows of shops and cars.
He has homes in Downham Market and Swaffham, Norfolk.
Police said they were investigating complaints that Carroll had behaved in an anti-social manner in Downham Market last week.
A spokeswoman said Carroll had been arrested on
suspicion of breaching the Asbo and released on police bail pending further inquiries.
Magistrates in King's Lynn, Norfolk, also ordered Carroll to carry out 240 hours unpaid community work after he admitted causing criminal damage.
