The Union Flag will be flown at half mast on all Government buildings on Friday, officials confirmed.
The decision was taken as a mark of respect for those killed and injured in the bombings, a Department for Culture, Media and Sport spokesman said.
Respect
He said: "The Government have announced that the Union Flag will be flown at half mast on all Government buildings on Friday from 8am until sunset as a mark of respect for the victims of the recent terrorist attack."
The decision comes after the Union Flag flying over Buckingham Palace was lowered to half mast on Thursday afternoon at the Queen's request.
