The Americanisation of the UK is continuing as sales for Thanksgiving items have skyrocketed, with estimations suggesting that one in six Brits are celebrating the holiday.
With the increase in popularity of American football, bacon and pancake breakfasts, Black Friday and Halloween in Britain, it was inevitable that Thanksgiving would be next.
And a huge spike in sales of turkeys, pumpkin pie, cornbread, maple-flavoured meats and salted caramels proves that the American holiday is now big on these shores.

Artur Lezny, online gorcer Ocado's international food buyer, told The Telegraph: 'Over the last few years, we've seen this popular American blend of flavours sweeping our country - salted caramel has gone mainstream and there's been an explosion of brunch places offering pancakes with bacon and maple syrup.
'We've certainly seen more and more Brits embrace sweet and sour food items each year for Thanksgiving with the likes of 'candied yams' - but it's much bigger than that.
'The nation has jumped on the American sweet and savoury bandwagon and is welcoming this flavour combination onto their plates all year round.'
