A murder trial jury was today shown pictures of the naked and mutilated body of schoolgirl Jodi Jones.
The pictures showed wounds to the 14-year-old's throat, cheek, stomach and breast as her body lay in a woodland area.
Jodi's boyfriend, 16-year-old Luke Mitchell, is alleged to have repeatedly struck Jodi with a knife or similar instrument in a wooded area near Roan's Dyke path, between Easthouses Road, Easthouses and Newbattle Road, Dalkeith, Midlothian.
Mitchell, who was 14 when he is alleged to have killed her, denies murdering Jodi on June 30 last year and has lodged special defences at the High Court in Edinburgh.
