Nine hurt in car crash outside school

Nine people, including seven children, were injured today in a road accident outside a school, ambulance service officials confirmed.
The incident, which happened at about 8.45am near Wrockwardine Wood School in Telford, Shropshire, left one victim seriously injured, Shropshire Ambulance Service said.
Ambulance service spokesman Steve Parry confirmed that seven teenage girls had been taken to Telford's Princess Royal Hospital.
One of the girls suffered a suspected leg fracture and other injuries included cuts and bruises.
It is understood that the pile-up involved a number of cars and two women in their 40s and 50s were also treated for minor head and chest injuries.
The fire brigade was not called to the scene.
