A British civilian worker was shot and killed in Iraq while driving on a main highway in the country, the Foreign Office confirmed today.
Andrew Harris, 33, born in Cardiff, south Wales, was shot as he drove along a highway between Mosul and Irbil yesterday.
A Foreign Office spokeswoman said Mr Harris had been in Iraq working for a security company at the time.
"The Foreign Office does not have any direct interest in the case now. It is all being handled by the company in question," the spokeswoman added.
