Zoe proposes by billboard
Sweethearts Zoe Triplet and Lee Jeyes set the seal on their love today by agreeing to marry after a proposal by billboard.
With the help of Channel 4's Big Breakfast Zoe had left a huge poster in the centre of Birmingham with just the words "Lee I love you" last week.
But today the words "will you marry me...? Zoe xxx" were added to hammer home the message to her live-in partner.
Engineer Lee, 30, was encouraged to pop down to the show's outside broadcast from a car park beside the poster and presenter Richard Bacon spoke to him to encourage him to come down.
The couple, who met eight years ago at the Dome nightclub and have a 17-month-old daughter Phoebe, received an engagement blessing from Nicola Skinner, the curate of St Michael's Parish Church in Bartley Green.
After the show Lee said: "I'm the happiest man alive."
He and hotel worker Zoe, 28, who live in the Hodge Hill area of Birmingham, were sent off by the show for a relaxing break in Guernsey.
