Man quizzed after missing 'chatroom' girl found
A 15-year-old girl who disappeared after telling friends she was going to visit a man she met through an Internet chatroom has been found safe and well, police said today.
Alison Wood was found at an address in Medway, Kent, and will be reunited with her family later today.
A man was arrested in connection with the incident and will be questioned today at Chatham police station, a Kent police spokeswoman said.
Friends had told detectives that she was going to meet the 25-year-old she had met on the Net in Swindon, Wiltshire.
The Rochester Grammar School pupil, of Lordswood, Kent, went missing after leaving school last Friday afternoon.
Her father, who works as a tax consultant in Canterbury, travelled to Swindon to try to find her.
Police found love letters and e-mails in the teenager's bedroom and were analysing her family's computer for more information.
The investigating team interviewed a 25-year-old man from Swindon in connection with the disappearance, but he was not arrested.
