I'm not feline so good... Cat found at drugs bust tests positive for meth
A cat has tested positive for meth after he was rescued from a home where his owners were allegedly concocting the drug.
The unnamed pet was taken by animal control officers from the home in Catoosa, Oklahoma as he was in such a poor condition, authorities said.
He was just one of several cats found among 30 one-pot meth labs, gas generators and methamphetamine, the Tulsa World reported.
Recovering: A cat that was found during a drugs bust has tested positive for meth after living in conditions where the drugs was made
Wagoner County Sheriff’s Maj. Gary Handley said the cat 'had either been exposed to the process or gotten into some of the chemicals'.
The animal was taken to the Catoosa Small Animal Hospital.
The meth test was carried out on behalf of the sheriff’s office to see if the animal was harmed by the living conditions.
Vetenarian Dr. Steven Weir does not believe the cat ingested the drugs, but had chemicals from the drug in his blood because of where he lived.

The chemicals used to create meth can be seen in the blood after they are absorbed through the skin or breathed in.
The cat was suffering from severe neglect and malnutrition. He had a swollen mouth and other infections from the neglect, Dr. Weir said.
He is now being treated with antibiotics and pain medication, as well as making sure he has enough food, water and rest, the vet added.
Arrested: Owners Terry Lee Young, 49, and Kristi Le Maner, 45
'We’re trying to keep him around for a while and see if he’ll turn the corner,' Weir told the Tulsa World. 'He may not even be an adoptable cat.'
Terry Lee Young, 49, and Kristi Le Maner, 45, were arrested at the Cartoosa home and jailed for manufacturing drugs and cruelty to animals.
Other complaints included possession of drug paraphernalia and assault with a dangerous weapon, Handley said.
