Woman 'stabbed man because she was sick of cooking for him'

A woman is in jail after she was arrested for stabbing a man over an argument on how 'sick' she was of cooking for him.

Lisa Cherry, 46, is being held at the Palm Beach County Jail in Florida facing charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

She threw food at the 56-year-old man Sunday night and wounded him with a kitchen knife, according to authorities.

The man approached a county law-enforcement official describing the argument he had with Cherry about food inside a nearby home, according to an arrest report.

The victim told the deputy that Cherry started to drink beer.

She then started to throw food out the door as the two began the dispute.

Cherry told the man that she was doing this because she was tired of cooking for him, the arrest report said.

The man told the deputy that he had threatened Cherry, saying he would cut 'her pony tail off if she didn't stop throwing things.'

The man's name was not released.

As the argument heated up, Cherry picked up the knife, authorities said. She first cut the phone line of the home.

The man said to the deputy that Cherry then proceeded to stab him in the left hand.

A witness told a story similar that reflected the man's version of the events, according to authorities.

Cherry was taken to the the county's main detention facility following her arrest.

She was being held on $1,000 bond.
