Man remanded on Alicia murder charge
A bus driver accused of murdering a teenage girl made his first appearance before a Crown Court judge.
Lee Holbrook, 39, is accused of murdering 18-year-old Alicia Eborne at Shaugh Prior, Devon, between November 7 and 16.
Holbrook, of Beacon Park Road, Plymouth, spoke only to confirm his name when he appeared at Exeter Crown Court, and did not enter a plea to a charge.
Wearing a light green T-shirt, stocky, grey-haired and bearded Holbrook was handcuffed to a prison officer in the dock.
Judge Francis Gilbert QC ordered a plea and directions hearing to take place at Plymouth Crown Court on February 6.
There was no application for bail and Holbrook was further remanded in custody.
Alicia, of Corntown, near Ivybridge, Devon, was a student at Plymouth College of Further Education.
She went missing after leaving home in the morning to travel to college.
Her body was found 10 days later by police 15 miles from her home at a spot on the edge of Dartmoor.
