Search continues for young runaways
Police are continuing their hunt for two young sweethearts believed to have run away together after falling in love when they met on holiday.
Natasha Phillips, 12, and Ashley Lamprey, 15, disappeared on Tuesday morning after spending virtually every day in contact by phone after meeting in Greece.
Police believe Natasha, from Newport, Isle of Wight and Ashley from Ackworth, West Yorkshire had been planning to meet up for several weeks and could be in Northampton.
The families of both youngsters made emotional appeals for the pair to let them know they were safe and well.
Ashley's mother Karen, 38, said: "I just want him to come home. I want them both to come home. They mustn't worry, they are not in trouble. No one's going to shout at them.
"We just want them back safely. We are desperate to know that they are all right."
Natasha's mother, Michelle Clark, said: "Natasha, I just want to know that you are okay, and you are with Ashley, and that you are both safe. I know you and Ashley want to be together, but you need to let the family know that you are both safe
"We love you very much, and we just want you to come home. You are not in any trouble. I have spoken to Ashley's family, and they feel the same. They will be missing him and also worried.
"Please just call us or go to the nearest police station so that we know you are all right."
The two young people met on the Greek island of Cephalonia in June and soon became inseparable.
