Man in court on terror charges
A suspected terrorist accused of possessing bomb-making instructions and combat books appeared briefly for a preliminary hearing at Southwark Crown Court.
Ashraf, 32, who has dual British and Pakistani nationality, is charged with two counts under the Terrorism Act 2000.
Ashraf, whose first name cannot be published for legal reasons, is accused of possessing combat books, quasi-military information and tactical planning material, weaponry and explosive device instructions discovered at an undisclosed address.
He is also alleged to have had false documents, false identification papers and banking material.
He was remanded in custody until a plea and direction hearing on October 10.
