Women urged to try the Internet
The Government today urged more women to try their hand at the Internet after new research found that men were more likely to log on to the world wide web.
Half of men questioned said they had used the Internet, compared to 40% of women.
Learning and technology minister Michael Wills announced the creation of a new task force to make computer-related careers more attractive to women and men.
"While many people are embracing new technology, there are still too many who don't feel confident or can't access it," he said.
