Cannabis worth £2.4 million seized
Cannabis resin with an estimated street value of £2.4 million (3.5 million euros) was found in a lorry in north Dublin, Irish police have revealed.
Around 300 kilograms of cannabis resin had been hidden in ceramic tiles in the vehicle, raided on the Old Swords Road, Santry.
A 41-year-old man was arrested and was being questioned at Blanchardstown Garda Station.
He was held under the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
The raid was part of a joint operation between the Garda National Drugs Unit and customs officials.
