British PoWs may be Kenyans
Al-Jazeera TV has showed video of two men it initially identified as being British prisoners.
But later the Qatar based satellite news station said the men were believed to be Kenyans working for the British Army as truck drivers.
Two bloodied bodies of dead soldiers in uniform also were shown but were not identified.
British officials refused to comment on the footage.
Two British soldiers have been missing since Sunday near Basra. Two journalists from ITN television news also have disappeared in the area.
A Kenyan army spokesman said Kenya has no troops in Iraq but that the two men could be British citizens of Kenyan origin.
Al-Jazeera said the prisoners of war were believed to be Kenyans working for the British Army as truck drivers.
A spokesman for the Ministry of Defence said it was looking into the report.
