Bomb plot pair plead guilty
Two men have pleaded guilty to plotting to cause explosions likely to endanger life in mainland Britain and the Irish Republic, the Old Bailey heard today.
John Hannan, 19, and James McCormack, 34, admitted conspiring to cause explosions.
The jury in the trial of three suspected Real IRA terrorists, who deny similar charges, was told that Hannan and McCormack had pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing.
The three whose trial began today - Robert Hulme, 23, Noel Maguire, 34, and Aiden Hulme, 26, deny conspiracy to cause explosions between January 1 and November 15 2001.
The charges relate to three car bombs which were planted outside the BBC studios in Wood Lane, Shepherd's Bush, London; in Ealing Broadway, west London and in Queensway, Birmingham
