Virginia couple give all six of their children almost the exact same name
A Virginia mother has sent the internet into a frenzy after revealing her bizarre family tradition: all six of her children share nearly the exact same name as their father.
Carolyn Cousin, 31, a TikTok creator, posted a video in July introducing the youngsters, who are all under the age of ten.
The clip went viral, drawing nearly half a million views, after it revealed that all six children have different versions of the name Cameron.
Each has a slight variation in spelling: Camryn, 9, Cameron Jr., 8, Camreon, 6, Carmyn, 4, Cam’Ron, 2, and tiny Camarion, just seven months.
Cousin explained that only two of her kids share the exact same name, while the rest have similar-sounding ones - a system that works perfectly for her tight-knit family, whom she lovingly calls her 'six-pack'.
'For six children that I carried for nine months long and birthed five out of six naturally, I deserve to name them exactly what I wanted,' Cousin told People.
'Their dad and I took turns naming them, so I wouldn't have it any other way,' she added.
She revealed that the unconventional choice is designed to honor her fiancé and the children's father Cameron Butt Sr.

But social media still erupted, racking up over 2,000 comments as viewers debated the Cameron craze - some calling it playful and romantic, while others labeled it cruel.
'There are enough names in this world that no one in the same family should have to share one with their siblings. This should be illegal,' one comment read.
Another said: 'Respectfully, this cleared up NONE of the confusion.'
A third added: 'This is really cute, not gonna lie! But it literally is the same name pronounced differently.'
'Why do people do this to their kids? They're people, not animals. And I wouldn't even name different dogs the same thing or a variation of that,' wrote another.
'And I’m here worried about my child being in the same class at school as someone with her same name…yours got it in their own house!' a viewer chimed in.
One viewer said: 'Nobody ever gonna question who they daddy is. Lmaoooo.'
'You're toooo deep in love,' wrote another, accompanied by a laughing-face emoji.

Dozens of commenters couldn’t resist joking that the family resembled the late boxer George Foreman’s famous crew.
The boxing legend, who passed away in March at 76, was known for giving all five of his sons the same name: George Edward Foreman.
'What in the George Foreman is going on in here?' several comments read.
But Cousin explained that the Cameron craze started years ago, when she and her fiancé, Butts Sr, 32, were dreaming of starting a small family.
Long before even meeting their first child, Butts was determined to pass down his name - even if it meant giving it to a daughter, according to People.
In 2016, the couple joyfully welcomed their first daughter - Camryn - unknowingly marking the start of their Cameron legacy.
'Honestly my fiancé and I both agreed on our child's first name,' Cousin told People. 'He always wanted to name his daughter Camryn, which is the girl version of his name, Cameron.'
Camryn was meant to be their only child - but just a year later, they discovered another little one was on the way: a son.
'We needed a junior, right?' Cousin told TODAY.

Lo and behold, Cameron Jr was born - the boy version of his older sister’s name.
When Cousin became pregnant again just two years later, she and her fiancé felt their unique naming tradition was only getting started - and they were committed to keeping it alive.
'Honestly it really started a thing naming two kids the same name,' Cousin explained to People. 'So, we started playing around with the letter and ran with it.'
And from there, it only kept going.
In 2021, the couple welcomed a daughter whose name broke the mold. Instead of starting with 'Cam,' they switched it up to 'Car,' naming her Carmyn.
Two years later, they welcomed a son, Cam’Ron, and earlier this year, they added another a son named Camarion.
'The three oldest are at the same school and when they're called for pick up, they call them "the Cams,"' Cousin told People.
'I’ve gotten some bad reactions and also some people that share similar stories, and I tell them all: "These are my children,"' she added. 'I have tough skin, so the bad comments don’t move me at all.'

Cousin admitted that even her daughter notices the online buzz, but she said her children love their names and have never been confused by them.
'When I use their full names, they know exactly who I’m talking to,' she told TODAY. 'Somehow, it just works out!'
With a full house of growing kids, Cousin told People she ‘prays’ that her daughters and sons one day find partners who can share their names - just like she and her fiancé did.
'Honestly, people don’t see that my fiancé's name and mine are not too far off from each other,' she told the outlet.
'The idea of you and your partner putting together names using letters from the two is a beautiful thing.'
