Mom wrote chilling Facebook messages saying she wanted to 'murder' baby... before he was brought into hospital with brain bleed
A Wisconsin mother allegedly sent messages on Facebook saying she wanted to kill her eight-week-old baby before the infant was rushed to the hospital with a brain bleed.
Shannon McNease, 27, has been accused of trying to murder her child after the infant suffered from 'suspicious' injuries early last month.
On August 7, the baby's father took her to the Virginia Mason Franciscan Emergency Room in Bremerton because she was projectile vomiting and experiencing diarrhea.
After doctors ran initial examinations, they quickly realized the severe extent and alarming nature of her injuries.
She was transferred to Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital in Tacoma, where staff determined she may have been the victim of horrifying abuse, police said.
It was discovered she was 'suffering from a brain bleed and multiple fractures in various stages of healing indicating non-accidental trauma,' the Bremerton Police Department (BPD) wrote in a statement.
The baby had 20 rib fractures, six metaphyseal fractures and a brain bleed 'consistent with shaking an infant,' police said.
Court records obtained by KIRO indicated the little girl sustained harm to her legs as well.

'Children’s ribs are flexible and difficult to fracture... the presence of multiple rib fractures is strongly suggestive of child abuse,' a doctor who examined her said.
The physician went on to explain that this extreme kind of harm is caused when a baby is shaken or their extremities are forcibly contorted or pulled.
'Metaphyseal fractures do not occur with routine care and handling of an infant,' the doctor went on, according to documents.
Both McNease and the baby's father denied accusations of child abuse. They allegedly said her condition was the result of their cat jumping on her, along with another instance when she was accidentally dropped.
But upon further investigation, authorities allegedly made a shocking discovery.
The BPD said investigators found messages McNease sent expressing 'homicidal intent toward the infant.'
These messages were allegedly sent via Facebook to the child's father and one of McNease's friends.
'Like I legit want to shake her to death or throw her on top of the floor so hard she dies,' the mother allegedly wrote to her friend.

'Only when she’s crying and screaming though, which I guess is almost pretty much all the time at this point. Her cries make me feel like I’m gonna snap and murder.'
In a separate message to the same person, McNease allegedly wrote: 'It’s not like I hate her.
'I’d die for her dude. But the stress is eating my f*****g sanity to bits. Faster and faster every day.'
In a conversation with the child's father, she said the baby was 'back on her BS again' and she 'can't stand her,' according to court documents.
McNease also indicated that her baby is 'the truest love of my life' and 'when she's not crying and screaming, she's blissful as f**k,' records show.
Police said she admitted to the violent messages but said she did not mean them.
They also said she also claimed she was suffering from postpartum depression and was in a state of 'mental and emotional distress.'
After police determined the child was harmed in her mother's care, they arrested McNease on September 4 in Shelton.
The Bremerton Police Department (BPD) released a statement on the gut-wrenching situation
She was booked into Kitsap County Jail and formally charged with Attempted Murder in the First Degree and Assault of a Child in the First Degree.
Her bond is set at $1million and she remains in custody. It is unclear if any charges are to be filed against the baby's father.
The child survived her injuries and has been placed in the care of her grandparents.
The grandparents told police McNease is unable to 'cope with multiple things coming at her all at once. At all. She can’t handle that, it has to be one thing and she has to be able to process it.'
