New details emerge about how 22-year-old skier died in horror accident at Thredbo

A 22-year-old former private school student who died at one of Australia's best ski resorts was competing in a university sports competition.
Sean Forrest, 22, crashed after his event at the UniSport Snow Nationals held in Thredbo Alpine Resort about 12.10pm on Tuesday. It is understood he collided with rocks on the edge of the ski track.
First responders, the Thredbo Ski Patrol and a Medical Centre doctor rushed to the scene but he sadly died from his injuries.
Mr Forrest had been studying at the University of Queensland.
He was also a former student at Brisbane Grammar School, one of the country's most elite high schools.
A statement from his old school praised him for always going above and beyond.
'His big heart, ability to light up a room and passion to help others made him a wonderful teammate and an even better friend,' it said.
'He performed in many concert bands and percussions ensembles, and in the senior dramatic production.

'In his final year, he was a form senior and was much-admired by the junior boys he cared for.'
The University of Queensland Ski and Snow Sports society also shared a tribute to Mr Forrest.
'He was someone who constantly uplifted those around him with his compassion,' it said in a statement.
'He had a smile and energy that was infectious, and he was always there for you when you needed him.
'Sean left a positive impact on all of our lives, and his legacy will continue within the club for many years.'
Thredbo resort has extended its condolences to Mr Forrest's loved ones.
NSW Police attached to Monaro Police District will prepare a report for the coroner.
