NAB outage: Chaos ensues as thousands of Aussies are locked out of their bank accounts

Thousands of NAB customers were scratching their heads after the mobile banking app was impacted by a major tech outage.
Customers were greeted with an apology notice after being left unable to log into their online banking shortly before 5pm on Thursday.
'Internet banking isn't working at the moment,' the message read.
'We're sorry and are doing everything we can to get it back up and running.'
The outage has also impacted Westpac customers and NAB customers trying to withdraw cash from branches.
NAB customers were told phone lines were open but advised call wait times may be longer than usual.
Many Aussies took to social media to question whether they were alone in facing connectivity issues with the app.
One NAB customer wrote on X: 'Why is NAB banking down?'

Another replied: 'Thank God I'm not the only one.'
'NAB what's going on? No one can log in,' a third wrote.
'NAB being down and me accidentally transferring my pay to the wrong account has just made ME the idiot to hold up the line at the supermarket omg jail,' a fourth said.
A NAB spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia the bank's app was back online shortly before 7pm.
'Thanks for your patience and understanding, and we're sorry for the inconvenience,' they said.
'Our digital services are now starting to come back online.
'While we continue to restore services, customers may experience some intermittent login and experience issues.
'All other services are working as normal.'
