Woman jailed after beating her tiny dog and assaulting four people who tried to stop her
A woman who abused her small dog at a Lincoln pub and then assaulted four onlookers who tried to intervene will spend more than 10 months in jail.
Ketija Bilinska, 57, was at the Dog and Bone pub in the city center on November 8 when she lost her temper with the Chinese crested dog she had brought along.
Lincolnshire Police received a 999 call from pub at 8.30pm that evening and arrested Bilinska at the scene.
No one sustained serious injuries from the assault but Bilinksa was later charged and convicted of causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal and assault by beating.
Appearing before Lincoln Magistrates' Court last Wednesday, the 57-year-old was handed a 10 week prison sentence for the assault in addition to a further eight weeks for hitting her dog.
She had already been given a suspended six month sentence for actual bodily harm (ABH) in March 2024.
As her dog attack occurred within the one-year probationary period she will now serve her previous 26 week suspended sentence concurrently with her most recent 18 week sentence - a total of 44 weeks.

Bilinska's Chinese crested dog will now be rehomed after it was seized by Lincolnshire Police following Bilinska's arrest
During her sentencing, Bilinska was also issued with a lifetime disqualification order under Section 34 of the Animal Welfare Act.
This means the 57-year-old will no longer be permitted to own, keep or control an animal in future.
Bilinska's Chinese crested dog was also subject to a deprivation order from the court and is set to be rehomed.
She has also been ordered to pay a compensation sum of £100 to each of the four assault victims.
Dog legislation officer DC Gemma Oxby said: 'This case is a demonstration of how members of our community will not tolerate cruelty to animals, when they sought to intervene in an aggressive situation to protect this vulnerable dog from its owner.
'The court have made it clear that such disgusting behaviour will not be overlooked.'
