How we rely on the Germans when it comes to buying a second-hand car
German-made cars are the most popular with drivers looking for a second-hand model, it was revealed today.
The BMW 3 Series was the most sought-after used car, research from online used car retailer Autoquake.com found.
German cars occupied the top seven places in the individual models' list, with the first non-German model being the Ford Focus in eighth place.

Based on the most frequently viewed cars on Autoquake's website, the research showed that German-made vehicles made up almost three in five of all searches, with Japanese models next with 9.8 per cent and UK brands third with 9.1 per cent.
BMWs comprised 20.9 per cent of the individual models, followed by Audi with 16.1per cent and Mercedes-Benz with 12.1 per cent.
