Wimborne: Man is killed in skydiving tragedy as police seize parachute for investigation

A man died plunging to his death while skydiving in central NSW on Tuesday.
Emergency services were called to Mount Borah in Wimborne, 470km north of Sydney, at 12pm over reports of a parachuting accident.
Witnesses told police the man 'impacted heavily' upon landing.
First responders attempted to treat the man but were unable to resuscitate him and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers from the Oxley Police District established a crime scene in the area and are now investigating the incident which is currently being treated as an accident.
They have also confiscated the man's parachute and equipment for examination.
A report will now be prepared for the Coroner.
