Servo's new spaghetti bolognese pie divides a nation... would YOU eat it?

A servo's new Italian-inspired pie filling has divided a nation.

New Zealand service station chain Z Energy rolled out their limited edition spaghetti bolognese and cheese pie recently to very mixed reviews.

Some pie-lovers have called it 'genius' while others say it's 'just wrong'.

'That's disgusting... Where do I buy one?' one person wrote.

'Saw the sign myself, found it weird but was also mildly curious,' another said.

Another person said it was a 'delicious abomination'.

Z Energy's retail general manager Andy Baird told Yahoo the servo knew the pie had divided customers but is still happy with the overall response.

'Z is uniquely Kiwi, and we like to reflect that in what we do. Our mission with the Spag Bol pie was to inspire customers with a classic, nostalgic flavour and put that into pie form,' he said.

'Since it hit the pie warmer, feedback from our site staff and customers has been overwhelmingly positive. So while the limited edition pie is not for everyone, it's certainly got some fans. Who knows what we will come up with next.'

In Australia, an unusual flavour combination by Coles was leaked last week.

Coles shoppers were divided when they found out the supermarket intends to release hot cross buns with Pizza Shapes flavouring.
