Ladies' Day at Royal Ascot
Ladies' Day at Royal Ascot was today promising a festival of fashion and racing.
Young Royal Zara Phillips, 21, who has hired a personal stylist and surprised the Queen by wearing high heels on the Ascot turf, was due to attend the Golden Jubilee meeting for a second time.
And Newmarket bank executive Charlie McEntee, 31, who earlier this week stunned racegoers with a titillating see-through lace dress, was expected to make another cheeky appearance.
The Queen's eyes were likely to be more on the racing, especially during the Britannia Handicap in which she has a horse running.
Green Line, owned by the Queen and trained by Sir Michael Stoute, is trying for a hat-trick of wins after romping home at Lingfield and Newmarket.
A royal win would add to the Queen's 19 Royal Ascot winners over the years.
Her last Royal Ascot success was in 1999 when Blueprint was first past the post in the Duke of Edinburgh Handicap.
