Internet banking at BoS

Bank of Scotland, fresh from the fiasco of its affair with US TV preacher Pat Robertson, is to offer its customers an Internet banking service and free access to the Internet.

The service, scheduled for launch later in the summer will feature a link up with BTClick, through a local call 0845 number. However calls to technical support will cost 50p a minute, still not as good as Barclays who abolished premium rate charges for its Internet service.

Its Home and Office Banking Service, which offered a link to the bank over a secure line, became free to personal customers from the end of June. It previously charged £4 a month.
