A moving experience

RICHARD HOLLOWAY has recently been reunited with his savings in Harpenden Building Society.

Richard, a business analyst from Hitchin, Hertfordshire, says: 'I knew the account was there, but I'd failed to tell the society that I had changed my address. It had not been able to contact me for several years.

'Since it has traced me, I have re-jigged my account to ensure I earn a better rate of interest.'

The society contacted Richard through his mother, who is also a member.

He adds: 'The account was a nice cushion as rainy day savings, and I still had the passbook. It would have been a problem if it had disappeared.'
