Lastminute is sued over O2 tickets deal
The company behind the O2 Arena in south-east London is suing its former ticket distribution partner lastminute.com for more than £320,000.
The claim arises from Lastminute’s alleged termination of a sponsorship agreement.
The writ issued by Ansco says Lastminute had shown poor ticket sales throughout the contract.
In the first year it is alleged that the website was allocated ‘at least’ 134,749 tickets, of which it sold just over 23,000.
In the second year, the allocation was raised to 243,500, but only 25,659 were sold.
Neither company would comment.
