NetStore contracts out data work
Another month, another modification to the business plan at software application service provider NetStore, which has revealed it is preparing to outsource much of its data centre requirements from early next year.
The group, which has already refined its European sales strategy to involve resellers rather than build its own sales force as originally planned, said the latest development was driven by technology and efficiency gains. It now plans to relocate its own-built data centre to a partner's facility by next March.
NetStore said its figures in the three months to 30 September, when losses climbed 4.5% to £2.5m on sales up 62% to £520,000 quarter-on-quarter, were 'absolutely on target or better'. But it added that it was entering a key period as it sought to turn sales leads into actual revenues and expected a 'rapid increase' in its active user base over the next three quarters.
Chief finance officer Neil Lloyd declined to comment on current sales conversions.
