Caravans help Holidaybreak

Flapping canvas, even in France and Italy, failed to attract as many holidaymakers this year as last, said camping specialist Holidaybreak. But more people chose pricier mobile homes, so operating profits at the camping division for the year to 30 September were 5% ahead at £17m.

Hotel action holidays took the pre-tax profits to a total of £19.84m, up 15%. Earnings per share are 7% up at 31.4p and the full dividend is 14% higher at 16p.
