How do I get a refund from my gym

I moved bank accounts and my gym said I missed my payment when the direct debit was switched over.

I paid the missing month's money and set up a new direct debit. But this month, two direct debits (the old and the new one) were taken.

I complained to the gym but am having enormous problems getting a refund.

Under the direct debit guarantee your bank must sort out the problem and should automatically refund the cash.

Your gym will then have to deal with your bank.
